Women's History Month (String Quartet + Piano)

  • St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral 519 Oak Grove Street Minneapolis, MN, 55403 United States (map)

Come celebrate Women’s History Month with us at St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral as we showcase powerful works composed by women. Join us for an inspiring afternoon featuring pianist Benjamin Downs alongside Mill City String Quartet in two remarkable piano quintets. Audiences will experience the dynamic “Piano Quintet No. 1” by Grażyna Bacewicz, the lyrical “Piano Quintet Op. 67” by Amy Beach, and the innovative piece “Prospective Dwellers” by Tomeka Reid. This event marks our debut on the music series at the cathedral, and we are thrilled to honor the contributions of female composers through this beautiful repertoire.
